Snow Day!!!

Spent Sunday, Feb 25th outside all day romping in the snow. Hard to believe that yesterday, we played roller hockey and baseball on a sunny warm afternoon. The boys let mom sleep in and took off early for a wintry walk in the woods. Luckily the weather man has no idea how to forecast the weather. They were calling for freezing rain all day, but we got six inches of snow instead!

Connor and Aidan took a ride on a fallen tree.

The show came down in buckets all day!

After the walk in the woods, the boys tried biking in the snow. Thank goodness for helmets!

Spent the rest of the afternoon shoveling out and sledding down the hill.

Sports at the Park

The boys spent Saturday, Feb 24th at the park playing roller hockey and baseball. We were joined by the boys from the Shaffer family.

Connor on a break away, but Aidan sweeps in for the goal!

Justin got up to bat and kept Connor busy shagging balls in the outfield. Keep those elbows up Justin!!

Connor returned the favor and sent Justin deep to center field.

What a great day!

Uncle Kirk and Aidan

Uncle Kirk visited on his way south to his new home in Florida. Aidan showed off his new gameboy, then challenged Uncle Kirk to a boxing match. Kirk lasted a full three rounds before Aidan was declared the winner by KO!

White Belt for Aidan

Blocking and kicking his way through his Tae-Kwon-Do class, Aidan has earned his white belt.

Aidan's first Black Eye

Aidan slipped and fell going up the ladder to the slide at school. This is, of course, the same eye over which he had eight stitches two years ago when he fell out of a tree!

Aidan and George

Aidan and his friend George saved the world from monsters and villains as Dash and Mr. Incredible.

Pinewood Derby District Championship Race

After winning first place in the Pinewood Derby for Pack 681, Connor was invited to race at the George Mason District Pinewood Derby Championship Race. There were over 25 racers from packs all over the area that raced in the Tiger level. After eight heats, Connor took Third Place overall at the Tiger level!

Tubing at Liberty Mountain

Went tubing at Liberty Mountain Feb. 18th with the Shaffer family. Connor, Aidan, Justin and Matthew had a blast hurling themselves down the hill.
